Turn me over, brothers, I am done enough on this side

I Want a Dog

I want a dog

AL, Heart Pup, Fall 2016. Crayon on colored paper.

Now here’s this, because I know what she’s thinking about . . . sigh. This animated short is based on the book I Want A Dog, by Dayal Kaur Khalsa. We have it on DVD, as part of a set of short films from Scholastic based on, and using the illustrations from, great children’s picture books. However, the National Film Board of Canada makes it available for free on their site, along with a lot of other cool films.  Since I can’t seem to successfully embed that one, here it is from another source:

I Want a Dog, Sheldon Cohen

AL, I’m not sure if we can get a dog this year, although I’d like to.  I’m pretty sure I’m up for moving to Canada, though.  After we’re settled in there, you can pull a roller skate on a string for a few weeks, and then we’ll talk about it again.  Just be patient for a little while longer.
